What is the P/N of that IC next to that burnt out the resistor? That may be very low Ohms resistor for feeding the VCC of the IC.
Can you look at the bottom side of the board to see which pin of the IC the resistor is connected to?Never stop learning

If you take the resistor off the board you may be able to see the colours on the underside
if it has just blown out on the top side.
EDIT if this is a 42 inch cello they are fairly new - is it not under gtee - or did you get it as a damaged return?Last edited by selldoor; 11-15-2015, 05:45 AM.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair
