I have an LG LCD Tv that has a picture problem. The picture is very bright white, possibly a contrast problem. Would the T-CON be responsible for this or the main board? See pic of screen below.

Hi guys. I replaced the TCON board and no change, screen is still the same.
What else could cause this? A bad LVDS or main board? A bad panel??Comment

Check the GAMMA DCV on the GAMMA Voltage test points of the old board and the new board.Never stop learning

Hi guys. I replaced the TCON and Main board in this TV and the screen is still the same. What are the chances of it being the LVDS cable from the main board to the TCON?
Is there a way to rule out the LVDS?

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the... -
I have a Sony 65A8H. Always bothered me that it doesn't have HDMI 2.1. I noticed the A80J board appears quite similar. And comparing some wiring diagrams in the service manuals (albeit A9G vs A90J since I couldn't find the A8/80 manuals), things appeared quite similar. And my understanding is the panels between the two TVs are more or less the same.
So I decided I'd experiment a little bit.
I bought an A80J board. Left the speaker connection unplugged because it doesn't fit. Changed the power connector to fit the new board. Plugged in everything else.
