Hi i have had to replace several of the samsung tcon boards RUNTK5351TP does anyone know which ic is faulty on these and where i can buy from?

Well what faults do they display ? Also do you know how to use a DMM ?

They never display a picture, whats a DMM? sorry i still very new to this game.

ha ha sorry yes, but i don't know what I'm checking on a tcon as I've only ever used it to check a power supply

have you still got the set with a working tcon in/or a working tcon or is it just the faulty tcons you have

I dont i sold the set but i do have one working tcon and the faulty one as i buy as many working ones as possible as I've had to replace so many. Does it have to be in the Tv to check it?

not sure i was only asking as you could of done working voltage comparisons etc what is the fault you usually experience with a bad tcon in these sets

You should be able to connect an external 12 volt source to the tcon board positive of the voltage source to the fuse of the T con- negative on one of the ground lugs for the screw terminal it should be able to power up.

Do you know how to check for S/C if so you can check it with out a tv. S/C stands for short circuit.

The common fault with this Sharp board is a failed Micro KL5T3067 IC no money from China, but will need the right kit to remove and replace not an easy repair that is why they bring good money flocko
