TV has been coming on without video for quite a while. But if you turned it off and then turned it right back on, it would come on with video. If after watching it for say an hour or more, if you turned it off, it would need to cool down for at least half an hour before you could get it come back on. Well, it finally quit coming on at all. Took the back off and nothing looked cooked. Took some voltage measurements as suggested by Samsung training video. All seemed well:
Standby=5.27V
PS On-3.3V
PS On drops form 3.3V - 0V when tv is turned on.
VS On rises from 0V - 3.3V when turned on.
Next step was to observe the green blinking LED on the Logic board. It blinks off once every 5 secs instead of normal state which would be once per sec. The video says then that there is a problem with Y-main, Y-buffer, or X-main boards.
Next step it says is to check Vs and Va voltage. Vs rises to 217 and immediately slowly falls. Va rises to 55 and immediately slowly falls. So this is where I'm at.
I shorted the PS on to gnd on the cable to the main and Va and Vs reacted the same. I guess that was just to eliminate Main board as problem.
I've searched all internet for a new Y-main and all are out of stock. None even on eBay. Am going to pull the Y-main and cool it down and retry to see if tv will come on. Any ideas on what to look for on the Y-main board or where to source a replacement board?
