RCA 46LA45RQ bad inverter board
I found that my inverter board was causing my tv to shut off right as it tried to power up. The backlight would try to come on and then the tv would shut off. Blue power light stayed on. I checked the outputs of the power supply to be good and then started looking at the transformer coils on the inverter board. It is a Samsung SSi460-12F01 REV0.2 board with Samsung part number LJ97-03319A. This was a later model of the 46LA45RQ with only one lead from the power supply to the inverter board. There are three coils and the top one has melted the top coil of the transformer and when I check continuity it is open. I looked at it under magnification and the copper is in pieces and burnt on one end. All of the other coils check good. I was wanting to know if anyone has found a supplier for the transformer coils or have ever changed one? Transformer has part # 340158AD UO 10CD C K on it.

I wasn't able to find a good deal on a new board in the US so I went to ToaBao which is based out of China and got a board and shipping from mainland China for $15 US. That's for the board and shipping combined. I'll have to wait a month before it gets here probably but I will post if it worked out or not. -

It's funny, they have tons of these over there from factory surplus and harvesting. Looks like it is being processed and ready to ship with DHL in the next day or so. I'll let everyone know if this is a good place for parts. Really cheap. My wife is from Taiwan so if I have a communication issue or can't read I use her for help. Google Chrome does a pretty good job of translating the website though. This would be great if all works out.....fingers crossed!!Comment

Finally got a tracking number from DHL. It is being processed and should ship out of Hong Kong shortly. I found that I had to pay an additional $15 for international shipping. That is the price for up to 1 KG. I found that TaoBao offers putting your parts in a warehouse location if you are buying from several different vendors. Then you can combine all of them and if they weigh under 1 KG it is $15 shipping for all of it. I only needed the one board so I'll know next time. I might order some Gundam toys for the boy just to make the shipping price worth it.Comment

Better yet pull the good transformer.
I did find 2 boards for sale at about $60 and $100+s/h but I wont share that info until i have a plan. Plus the $60 board I am waiting to make sure it is in stock.
It took a long time to find these 2 that should be in stock. I had to search all 7 model tv's this board is in.
fyi shopjimmy will repair the board for $60

Sorry for the delay on updates. My board came in but was broken............. snapped off on one end. So I just took the transformer off and put it on my old board. TV is up and running great.Comment

Funny the way it showed up at the house. DHL dropped it off and my wife was home from work to sign for it. I got home and she says "Hey, your parts came in!". She picks up the package to give it to me and the end was flopping around. I knew right away it was dead lol!!Comment

Thanks for the reply. I ended up ordering a replacement board from an ebay seller in China. It came 3 weeks later, and even though it was packaged very well it arrived broken. To the sellers credit, they refunded my money. So I then had a donor board, I used one transformer for the TV I was working on, and I sold the other two transformers on ebay

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

Hi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
