Like I indicated, the main board signal is not reaching the connector that goes into the Inverter board CN2.

seems a high price for a main board though? is this set 1080 or 720 resolution? for a 26inch set just seems a high price to pay here in the uk i wouldnt get much more for a fully working set.

What does that mean? The seller sells broken board?

Probably, that was from the main board I was working with. otherwise, if I was the seller I would ask for the main board back if it was a known good board.

I will try the seller in CA. and see if they will take my offer for $30.

Thats the trouble with ebay for that seller to say dispose of the item seems strange like he had a idea it may of been faulty at least you can keep it for parts etc they always come in handy.

Dottos vinceroger69. It would only come in handy for me if I knew what component(s) to replace on the main board otherwise, it is useless to me.

I've added main board (899-KC0-GF271XA) with capacitor values if anyone need it.

i wonder if a faulty/corrupt eeprom can cause this?

FYI: I'd received my replacement main board this afternoon from electroparts eBay seller.
At first I did not have much faith that this main board was going to work because of the flux paste on the board. but, it did. now, I just have to put the TV togather. thank you all for your help on this, especially to budm, and vinceroger69.

I think the flux points to what needs to be replaced.

                                    1.8V (1117l-18) and 3.3V (1117l-33) series fixed output regulator.
You can test the DCV on all 3 pins with ref to the chassis GND to see what you get.
