SAMSUNG UE46D8000, small stripes problem

    SAMSUNG UE46D8000, small stripes problem

    My brother's samsung tv show vertical stripes on the left of the screen. I have tried reseating and cleaning all cables but it didn't solve the problem.

    Do you think it is a t-con problem? or a bad panel?

    That unfortunately looks like panel failure to me. It's only affected in that one area but the rest of the screen looks ok.
    Did I leave the soldering iron on?

      Defective panel unfortunately. These sets have issues with overheating LEDs causing panel faults.

        Bad tab bonds.
        Take the tv down to the panel and press on the tabs to see if it resolves the issue.
        If it does you'll need to find a way to add pressure to them permanently.

          Old thread I know, but just out of interest do you know the model number of the panel, I have similar problems, but on the left hand side, is it a Samsung panel? LTJxxxxx

          @Tom66 so this is caused by over heating LED`s? is this a manufacturing fault, how does this affect the bonded tabs?
