I got a vizio e390-a1 that wouldn't boot (power led on, no backlight). Main board 756TXCCB02K042. Based on other reports, it seemed like a firmware corruption problem. I couldn't find the firmware online, so I bought a working board on ebay for about the same price as a pre-programmed chip. Sure enough the firmware fixed the old board. Send me a PM if you need the file.

Note: In my experience the program on the EEPROM does not go bad but the IC does. I have copied the program from the bad EEPROM IC and wrote it to a NEW IC and the TV was fixed. I am sure this is not true for all cases but it has worked for me so far. I pay about 0.25 cents for my blank EEPROMs.

Copying the EEPROM for this E390-A1 did not work, like I said, it doesn't work every time. Maybe my problem is not the EEPROM but I will have to order a new one or the whole kit and find out just what the problem is.

the led turns white but no picture no sound and cant turns off after that, this is how i fixed it:
test around the eeprom for the voltage should get 3.5 to 5v. test the connector goes to keypad board, if you click to any button should see some change in voltage 1 to 3v
thats mean the main board and processor are good, is just the eeprom software crashed
remove the eeprom read and save it to the computer, and rewrite it with the same file and it will work, can use the same eeprom.
if this didnt help, write another epprom with the same saved file and try

Bought a vizio v435-g0 yesterday from walmart it was on clearance. Got it home connected to wifi and updated filmware and now tv is stuck on vizio logo screen. From what I'm seeing people say it's a corrupt main board is there anyway to fix filmware through usb?Comment

I wound up with this same model V435-g0 stuck on the logo screen. I downloaded the firmware from the webpage above, made sure my thumb drive was FAT formatted, extracted the 2 files to the thumb drive, put the drive in the TV and plugged it in. It turns on by itself after AC power is applied. The indicator light on the thumb drive flashed 11 times and the TV doesn't download $hit.
Vizio TVs are worthless as tits on a chicken. Honestly I'd like to have two of them....one to $hit on and one to cover it up with, like a cat does a turd in a god d@mn sandbox. I've read new TVs of this model getting a firmware update during their first setup then restarting only to freeze on the Vizio logo.

TV standby light flash once after plug-in AC power. Then silent. No backlight, no LCD image on flash light test, no SPDIF light.
All PSU voltages to main looks good (12v, 20v (label says 18v but is 20), standby voltage) Probing main board shows what appears to be a DCDC converter (MSH6103A can't find datasheet) providing 5v, 3.3v and 1v. 5v present to the standby light power switch board.
These HiSense TVs appears to have lots of firmware corruptions that takes out the main board either through smartTV use or firmware update. Used main board... -
Wondering if any of you have seen this before. I got this TV with lower half of the screen dim. Fixed the LED backlight issue - smooth
I noticed that the System update lists current firmware is V1.0.6 and is able to find on the Vizio server 2.60.23-1... it downloads fully.. but instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous screen "NO SIGNAL - HDMI1"
I got the code and followed the update via flash drive - and it does exactly the same thing. Firmware is copied by the TV 100%, and then nothing - instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous... -
I was given this set and do not have the original remote. It will turn on with the power button and display "oobe V1.1.12 firmware V0" but that's all it will do. It does not respond to the input select button or volume button. I have a remote from the cable company and programmed it for Vizio and it will turn the set on and off but that's it, no response from any other buttons. The white standby led comes on bright at first and then dims but stays on while the set is on. I pulled the back off and looked for anything obvious like loose connectors, bad solder, bad caps and didn't find... -
