Re: Samsung PN51D7000FF cycling off and on
I'm examining a PN51D7000FF for a friend. It cycles every 15 seconds, which is faster than the durations mentioned in earlier posts here. The red LED blinks 5 times and a green LED on the main logic board also blinks. The Samsung logo shows on the screen and then then a rectangle in the upper left corner indicates that the HDMI1 input is selected. After a few seconds the power cycles off.
My meter shows correct voltages for 5V, 15V, Vs=207V, Va=58V, Ve=80V and Vsc=-187V. I don't see any obvious signs of overheating or bulging caps.
The friend has already procured a 4K OLED to replace this TV; I'm just checking to see if it can be saved from the e-waste heap. Based on the posts here, it sounds like the main logic board may have failed. The $120 replacement price is not warranted in this instance. Any other suggestions?
