From this I would say power board.
No need to check main board as that's been ruled out.

ok thanks Tom. I'll pull all the boards off after work and inspect every part again just to be sure.

Is there any way to troubleshoot the faulty part on the power board or is it a matter of buying a new board?

I can't access that site from here as ShopJimmy has seen fit to block anyone outside of the US from accessing their pages. Apparently we're not customers they're interested in.
So I can't recommend doing business with that company.

It's around $30USD. Everything's telling me it's the power board but the voltages are all correct. Have you ever heard of a power board reading voltages correct, but still being the problem?

Ok I think I've isolated the problem to the YSUS board now. I unplugged the YSUS from the power board and also the YSUS ribbon to the control board. The tv functions as normal but without picture. Did the same with the ZSUS disconnected And the YSUS connected, the problem comes back.

Apologies if I was supposed to disconnect that ribbon to start with.

Anything in particular I should be looking for or testing on the YSUS? I had the board off earlier checking everything. Couldn't see any bulged caps and continuity on the fuses were correct.

I'm not convinced it's a Y-sus issue, as the picture is ok for a brief amount of time during the test pattern mode. Could you try testing the 5V standby during the test patterns and see if it's stable?

Anywhere in particular i should be testing the 5v standby? The test signal ran for around 5 mins, all 5v pins that I could see are reading 5.2v (to YSUS, ZSUS & control board).

5V on the main board connector, should be marked STBY5V or similar.
You may have to wait for it to cut out.

Have you tried some heat or freeze spray on the controller IC's for vs and va on the power supply? I have seen this before them going to current protection because of a short in one of the IC's that is making it recognize an overcurrent sending it into protection mode.

It may not presented itself with one of these Y sustain or Z sustain boards disconnected due to the fact is not pulling enough current to drive the signal into protect mode

Ok so just had a quick test this morning.

The first time it powered on it flashed a red screen and turned off, 2nd try did the same, 3rd it stayed on and went red, then green, then blue and then sweeping gray color from each direction and then switched off.

5V on the main board connector, should be marked STBY5V or similar.
You may have to wait for it to cut out.

Just did a quick test before heading to work, couldn't get the colors to appear just a crackle noise then flashed off. It read 5.25v on the 5v standby pin.
