Question, what causes the most failures on Vizio smart tvs? I had a 100 tvs come in. Mostly scrap or parts for online. A lot were Vizios and knackered. I had luck on a 22" razor before this load came in, where I changed u33 chip and it booted right. In fact that tv was only used 7x and was only a month old from walmart still under warranty.
So why is there high failures and anything I can do to prevent it? I have fixed 2 of them since the mainboard were cheap...40 and under. But I'm leary about reselling if there will be future issues whether a month or year and the tv crashes.
Im wondering if the eeprom is getting corrupt with updates over wifi and I should advise customers to use Ethernet versus wifi. But most peeps dont listen...lol.
I still got a 46" ish Vizio I would love to fix, but main is 130 bones. And noone sells eeprom or anything for it....Also is there a way I can force it to update or check updates before it leaves? I couldnt find a way in the menu....
