    Panasonic Plasma Vertical tearing

Have a TH-42PX50U that has a vertical tearing issue, ive attached a pic. all voltages check out fine, was wondering if this looks familiar to anyone? Suspecting lower buffer board. any info would be greatly appreciated!

yeah, that's messed up. I'm thinking along the lines of a sustain board maybe SS or SC or even sd/su buffers. That does not narrow it down much but that's my gut feeling

I would check -Vad, Vsc, Vs, Va and Ve voltages.
I would suspect the SC board.

my vscn is off, only gettin 47, SM calls for +130V +/-4v. new SC on the way i will update when it arrives. originally thought lower buffers but noticed this set uses uppers as well and is split into 3 section totaling 6. so the chances all 6 went bad are not very likely.

Remember Vscn needs to be measured across the test point or from -Vad (manual should say how/where to test)
47V is plausible if -Vad is low, e.g. only -90V or -100V on older panels, as Vscan usually 150V above -Vad.

it was the y sustain, picture is great and my vscn is right back to +132V
