Sharp LC-37SB24U two seconds to black Lamp error?

Finally decided to troubleshoot this set with the blinking power light. checked the service manual it says that it's a "Lamp Error". followed the service manual instructions to reset the light and the set comes on for a about 2 seconds then goes back into protection mode..

My voltages from the power supply are ok. I think i checked the transformer windings correctly, they all measure the same and there are no dark areas on the screen for the couple seconds when the backlights are on so i assume the CCFLS are ok.. Any ideas?

Bad ccfl is what it is Thats why its cutting right off. I've felt with this set before take the panel out and watch the bulbs you will see not all them are lighting up. Proly just 1 out. Or it will be lighting but real dim or pinkish

Agreed. I ran into this with a sharp 42 inch. Yes ccfls cause this problem. Look for an area spanning horizontally for a pinkish hue. There u will find a bad bulb mist likely.

Before I go.that far check out the bl_on pin for voltage changes.

              Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
              I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
              I disconnected...

So I've had this monitor for probably a decade now, and it's finally starting to fail. Began with a little sporadic flickering, then eventually started going black (power LED stays blue, can still see image on screen with flashlight). A power on/off fixes it for a bit, but then it happens again. Once it got to the point I was dealing with this every few minutes, I opened it up and just replaced all the caps (minus the big one) on the power board with new Panasonic ones. All the old caps tested fine on an ESR meter, and this worked for 5 days. But the screen just went black again today, so...

SHARP LC-70UD27U black and white lines
              by zoontz
Wondering if anyone has addressed an issue with the SHARP 70” LC-70UD27U having thin black and white lines running from left to right horizontally on the screen. I snagged this TV set from a neighbor since I have been successful in repairing numerous other TVs. I assume this probably happens to other TV sets and may have been addressed in another thread. If so please point me in the right direction.

What I have tried so far.
I have tested all HDMI inputs with the same results.
I have checked for firmware updates.
I have reset to factory settings.
              I have removed...

              Sharp LC-40UG7252K black screen
              by Wodger
              Good day all,

As title says, black screen. Replaced hot side and largest cold side capacitors on power board as were reading erratic and TV was dead (no power light).

Following replacement, power led now illuminates, changes from red to blue on pressing TV joystick, still black screen. Connection board appears powered (optical sound led on). Slight crackling from speakers.

Checking led driver voltage reveals voltage falls off after power on from pressing joystick (drops to zero).

              Attached picture of power board.

              Next check steps...

              Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp Error
              by Yanleb
              Hi all,

I have this Sharp LC-60LE810UN that stays off and blinks a Lamp Error (1 long flash followed by a short flash, in a loop).

I already confirmed that the first backlight strip has an open LED using a LED strip tester. The other 3 LED strips are fine.

Before tearing the LCD panel apart, I want to make sure that the rest of the TV set is good. I've tested the power-supply/LED inverter board by sending 5 volt to PS-ON, to PNL-POW (that commands power the T-CON board only), OFL and STB pins. The power-supply is good.

              I've tried all the key...
