slightly washed colors - menu not affected?

    Hi,

i read all i could on the subject but found nothing exactly like this.

the tv lcd model is le32b530 - 32".

This tv is placed as a monitor (vga connection) and hdmi for gaming systems.

More than a year ago the screen was all green (green yellow tint on the whole screen) when connected via hdmi (for gaming or as a monitor)

Vga was not affected for many months, then the same happened which was resolved by updating the firmware (dark red was more present)

Recently it happened again (green yellow tint) that was resolved with the picture options but the screen is slightly more blue (steel grey blue).

the strange part is that gamma option is not working (adjustement has no effect), backlight is working and the menu colors are bright and distinct.

Testing colors calibration shows perfect and distinct colors.

Selecting warm colors in the options result in washed green yellow colors.

This is visible on the entire screen, cold colors has no tint just slightly more blue greyish brighter colors.

Thought it might be the t-con but not sure.

    Thank you for any informations!

    John.

      vincentroger69,

i have a few small pictures of the boards (i took note of serial numbers, etc...) what i found surprising is the amount of hot glue globs on the connectors (i had read about that).

i checked the wires, capacitors, fuse, resistors.

The wires going to the t-con are very thin (connectors encased with hot glue) the cover must be removed to show the board, the speakers should also be removed as the screws are under them (i didn't touch any of that).

Is it possible to have info on the t-con via the advanced (service menu)?

I got the numbers for the mainboard, inverter, serial etc... but the t-con numbers are under the cover and for that the cable would need to be removed.

The hot glue is keeping everything in place so i didn't touch any of that (the connectors are glued down with the wires)

i've read that the t-con affect everything including menu screen, and if the menu is not then the mainboard shoud be looked at. (is it correct?)
