I'm looking for advice. I have a Panasonic 2012 model TC-P55VT50 that has worked wonderfully for the past 3 years. Today while my son was playing Zelda 4-Sword on Gamecube the screen went dark and we can't get it back on. After removing all the power and AV cables for a half an hour and then plugging them back in, I get a blink code on the red power LED on the front of the unit. I get 3 blinks then a pause, then 3 blinks, pause, ... this pattern repeats seemingly as long as I let it stay powered on. I've tried holding the power button. I've tried holding the power button as the power cable is re-applied. But nothing changes the outcome. 3 blinks repeating as soon as the power cable is re-applied. I've searched the avsforum dotcom and found a link to the service manual. Unfortunately, the service manual does not contain the blink code troubleshooting guide. I found some videos on youtube with models that are close to mine, but not exactly the same and even then, nothing with a blink code of 3 blinks. After reading the avsforum, it appears that many are ultimately referred here to badcaps.net . Here there is a thread with my model and my 3 blink code error, but no solution. I'd like to take the machine apart and replace the faulty board, capacitor, resistor, fan, ... But I can't even find a troubleshooting guide to determine which part to replace. Does anyone have any insight into this particular error code?

by clooI recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.
So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...01-06-2025, 06:02 AM -
by VebririonHi everyone,
I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.
Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible โ so please forgive any odd phrasing.
I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report... -
by jm1234Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here๐ค?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting ๐.

by AlicatHello,
Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.
Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...10-30-2024, 10:09 AM - Loading...
