LN32B360 no sound over HDMI + erratic buttons

Does anyone has a schematic for the mainboard BN41-01181A?

This TV works but has no sound over HDMI. The PC sound input works though. Can't test the other audio inputs, I don't have an AV video source.

Also the buttons on the side , especially volume up , down and menu, source do not always do what they are supposed to do but I don't know if this is linked to the other problem , maybe not. They use a resistive ladder it seems to determine which button was pressed. The voltages aren't always stable when the button is pressed, maybe just corroded contacts inside the buttons, gonna clean them with contact spray or replace them.

I have clean 5V coming from the power supply board, no excessive ripple... I really think I need a schematic for this board for the sound problem.
    It's BN41-01181A, BN96-11408, bn97-03889.

    Thanks!

Did you check to user menu setup of the source and the TV to see if the HDMI sound is set for digital audio through HDMI or through the Analog.

The source is a playstation and the audio on the the PS is set to go through HDMI.
The TV wasn't used for a few months (which could explain the button weirdness) , but I don't see how this would affect the TVs HDMI sound.

Are you saying there might also be an adjustment in the service menu of the TV for that?

So both HDMI's have no sound?
Did it work before? How about using this PS on other TV to make sure it is not the source problem?

One HDMI doesn't have sound, the other one doesn't work at all, I'm gonna try a shorter cable in the evening, had problems with this before... However, the HDMI that works has a perfect picture. And yes the PS works on another TV...

Sound on PC IN works and also the Samsung TV sound when turning on and off the TV works... Just HDMI is not routed through. I can't say anything about Audio AV IN and tuner, I don't have an antenna.

I'll be back with news later.

          thanks

Did a factory reset and sound came back on HDMI.

            Miracle?

              Well, you are lucky then.
Did you have a chance to see what the ON SCREEN setup for the HDMI's were set to before you did the reset?

Not really, as I didn't quite understand the meaning of all the parameters available. This was more like a trial and error approach.

                Thanks

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Not all TVs can handle surround sound on a HDMI input
                  by japlytic
With a home theatre PC connected to a TV via HDMI, Windows reveals that the TV only supports stereo sound even though the TV has a HDMI ARC connection to an AV receiver which is powered on; I also had an issue that the AV receiver does not always retain the input setting for routing the HTPC video through to the TV in standby.
So I connected a second HDMI cable to the HTPC and set it to duplicate the video outputs, but I had random audio dropouts when playing content with surround sound being passed to the AV receiver (dropouts did not occur when I replayed the content where it dropped...

                  by LEECH666
                  Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
