52LG70-UG, Won't stay off ---help please

I'm working on a 52LG70-UG that turns back on (previously intermittently, but now consistently) when you turn it off. This symptom had been going on for a long time and then the TV wouldn't turn on anymore. The power supply was replaced and TV was fine for 2 weeks, then went back to the "turning on when you turn it off" thing.

I've tried replacing the little Power Switch/IR board and also unplugging the control panel with no fix.

I had this same model some time ago with the exact same history and symptoms and repair that started doing the the same thing again, but was unable to get my hands on it. This time, I really want to solve it.

This one is really bugging me. The research on Google shows many people with this issue, but no clear solution.

It seems to be an AC detect problem; where the AC detect is causing the TV to turn on when it shouldn't be. I wish I could somehow easily disable the AC detect or something. I will post pictures if requested, but I would have to take the covers off the main and power boards again. I was hoping someone might be familiar with this problem and that won't be necessary.

Wow, this problem was even covered by ABC news. Someone must know the solution...?

Unplug the p201 jact from the Per Bd. Plug in the set to the AC and see if you are getting 2.8Vdc on Pin 19?

Unplug the P201 Jack going to the Main Bd. Plug in the TV to the AC and see if you are getting voltage on Pin 19

Thanks for your response, can you clarify what you mean? You posted twice with different requests.
