    Another VIZIO E470VA blank screen

    Hi
I found the forum while searching for help troubleshooting a TV that was given to me... in particular this thread....
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=44112
I've pretty much followed everything through the thread, got correct voltages coming from the power supply board, etc. but I discovered that F701 is blown... the last post in the thread said to check that fuse, that it is 5A, but that is where it stopped... now the next step is to verify the fuse size, replace it, and see if it holds... if so, good to go, if not, find out why.

First off, does anyone have a schematic or diagram for this model? As much as I'd like to trust the word of a fellow forum member regarding the fuse value, I'd like to be absolutely sure...

I've uploaded pics... don't be alarmed by the rusty condition of the covers on the main and T-Con boards, the TV came from a very salty, humid environment... Of course, this could have had a hand in blowing the fuse, but I've inspected everything quite thoroughly and it all looks pretty good under the covers. There isn't any actual water damage or any sign of excess moisture.

I would check the load side of the fuse against GND to see if it shows very low resistance that is bad enough to blow the 5A fuse.
You can temporary us 5A fuse for car (just solder two wires to the leg of the fuse) just to see if the TV willl work after checking the resistance I mention above.

      Thanks for the quick response...
Load side is open to ground, so we're good there...
I'll look through my stash ad see if I have a 5A fuse lying around... otherwise I found 5A nano fuses on Allied electronics for cheap... should be here by Friday which is the ext time I'll be able to work on it anyways.
