Funai LF320FX4F IR IR/buttons problem

Hello. I just picked up a Funai LF320FX4F. when I turn it on using the manual buttons, it works fine, but after 5-10 minutes, the power button and channel/VOL buttons lose their functionality. Obviously a main board issue. Is there a simple fix for this or is this an EPROM failure? As anyone else run into this problem?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Shopjimmy sells EEPROM so read the ascription of the symptom about what happen if you have bad EEPROM.
