55" Sharp LED LC-50LB150U white lines when powered on and then normal display

Hi guys,

I believe I have two separate issues with this tv, but if I just get the white lines resolved, I will be pretty happy.

I have a Sharp LC-50LB150U that gets these white lines when it is turned on, but once you wait a minute or so, the display is perfect with the exception of a black strip all the way to the left, which I can live with, but if someone has any ideas on that, I would appreciate it. I took all of the photos below within one minute. I am completely comfortable taking this tv apart (after it is unplugged, of course) and taking a crack at fixing it.

That certainly looks like panel failure to me. There's always a chance it might be a bad connection from the ribbon cable going to the T CON to the panel but doubt it

FWIW, once the lines go away when powered on, the TV will operate perfectly for hours.
