Hello everybody, I have this Phillips LCD TV 42PFL7422D/37 that I am attempting to repair. When I first got it and plugged it in it was completely dead, no power lights, no clicking, no nothing. I checked the fuse on the power supply and it was fine, I found a used ps on ebay for $18 bucks and ordered it. Now I get 2 seconds to black (sound but no picture)but during those 2 seconds the whole screen is flickering and the right side is a lot darker. I checked voltages at the inverters and I am getting 22.1V, it should be 24V. Is 22.1V close enough or not? And the red indicator light does not work but when I push the power button the blue light comes on, I do get the 5.6V stand by voltage but the red light does not work. Maybe it's an option in the menu to turn the indicator light off or on like my Vizio has?? Any suggestions? I have included some pics including the old power supply, the new(used) power supply is a different variation but according to ShopJimmy it will work.

22V is not sufficient.
Did you get *exactly* the right board?
37" board will not work for example, cannot deliver sufficient power to light 42" panel. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Phillips 42PFL7422D/37 2 seconds to black/flickering screen
the number on the old board is 310432848911 and the board from ebay is 310432848913, every site I have visited says the 8913 is a substitute for the 8911.Comment

I can install the old power supply and try to find the problem with it. I see someone had success replacing the ceramic resistors maybe a good place to start. The last picture in ,my original post is the original power supply, Any suggestions?Comment

I see different components on the two boards, so I am not confident they are interchangeable. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Yes there are only 2 ceramic resistors on the one I ordered and 4 on the old one. If I put the old board back in where would be a good place to start?Comment

by reessiHello,
The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..
They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.
Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.
I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...-

Hey, I got an Telefunken 4K D50U TV in for repair. Since the problem is t-con flex related, I isolated the problem to one side (right flex of the t-con). I taped the flex a bit, but i couldnt get any further. I attached the pictures of the t-con board in zoom in perspective. I would appreciate help for this TV. Please note that I came from Germany, so it is a bit difficult with the time zones. Greeting Tobi...08-29-2024, 03:47 PM

by twonk9098Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.
I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.
I have tried a few new bios but exactly... -
by DrvLikHellHello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.
The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...-
