    Panasonic TC-P55VT30 SU board?

    Hello,
I have a p55vt30 with 7 blinks, I isolated SU/SD/SC closed SC50 and I have fans and an LED on both SC and SS.
I have a short on TPSC1 which is no longer a short with SU out of circuit.

The service manual shows the board for SU is TXNSU1PAUU TNPA5340 but the currently installed card is TXNSU1NVUU TNPA5340AK.
Are both cards compatible, and mine is faulty, or not compatible and I need the other card?
Any help would be much appreciated,
    thanks,
    dave in NJ

    Re: Panasonic TC-P55VT30 SU board?

The TNPA5340AK is for PDP- MC140FJ1431 Panasonic 50"GT +VT models
and the TNPA5340 with no prefix is for PDP-MC140FU1431 50"ST models, so I would say your set has the correct board fitted and would need to be replaced with a like for like TNPA5340AK ,but check your panel sticker number for PDP fitted as they may well have fitted both hope this is of help Flocko

yes manual does say that but there may have been a production change/panel variation and so the Su may also have been revised and matched accordingly. Looking at both very litlle difference, removal of a single ceramic cap on the 5340 variant will give you the same board. I would expect it to work, no idea on the long term affects if any.

these are hard to find and expensive. i see a pair from St30 which is the 5340 no suffix $100 USd but why not consider getting yours repaired at $50 which is very cheap as i see over $100 just for repair on ebay.

A lot of people get their Sc boards done there with excellent results.

not sure on their success rate with the buffers but very good reports on most other boards

thanks very much flocko for the response, my panel sticker is
MC140FJ1443 on a P55VT30 and the service manual shows MD55F14A5J for the panel.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
            by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
            by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
            by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
