    Phillips 47pfl7642d/05

I have a quick question, I have a Phillips 47pfl7642d/05 with sound, backlight but no picture.

I thought it could be t-con and I've not even got as far as taking it out, but I noticed that the slave inverter board has 2 blown caps with clear indications they they're both gone (2 x 35v 680uf). Now, these being blown won't have any affect on the picture being displayed would it? they just control the backlight? which is working.

I assume the master inverter is why the backlight is still running?

    Cheers guys

Maybe you should replace those and check all others if possible. Perform a test and take it from there. It is and indication that other caps might have failed as well.
I am not sure if it would cause no image but there might be feedback from inverter to psu and mainboard...

If the backlight is on then it's not them causing your fault.
      Best to replace them thought.

I thought as much but thought I'd ask, I'll replace them anyway and move on to that t-con when I finally manage to get to it, it's under the metal plate which every other board is screwed to, wonderful.

Could the control board cause the same symptoms as the t-con? There's sound and backlight just no picture

Have you replaced the mainboard or tempered any settings in service menu?

You can always try with remote control:

            062598 MENU XXX

where XXX is the 3 digit number printed on the side sticker of the back cover of the TV. This will reinitialize the panel.

I've not replaced the main AV board because there were sound so I assumed that would be ok.

I replaced the t-con and the problem still remains, there is some red pixels I've noticed in the bottom left corner though, not sure what this could mean.

Imac A1312 - Blown Diode, Need Inverter Schematic?
                  by reessi
                  iMac 27-Inch "Core i7" 3.4 (Mid-2011):

First off I have the Imac Schematic but only for the mainboard, does anyone have the inverter one or a similiar one from another for better understanding?

                  Searched all over for one!

All voltages to the Inverter are correct:

(12v in, 3.3v Enable and PWM Approx 3.0v).

Output was 12v and moved a little but Inverter was obviously cutting off as D1 was SHORTED.

After replacing this the IMAC works for 1 week exactly and dies again. When working the output was correct...

LG 47LB5DF blown power supply board
                  by cmlewis89
                  Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...

Vizio E55-E1 bad backlights or bad inverter?

I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

I have a tripp-lite aspint 3636vr inverter charger which blow some of mosfet transistors. I replaced them repaired also the driver circuit and tested but the mosfets burn again.

It work very well as inverter and also as charger if I let the rear switch in auto mode (inverter) and charger only(charging) but in auto when I connect the feed line 220V AC first time it pass ok to line and start charging the batteries but when I remove the feed line it pass to inverter mode and if I do it again the second time when passing from charging to inverter the Main transformer start making a...

Insignia NS-LCD19-09 (PS OK, Inverter problem?)
                  by valvashon
For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...
