Sony Bravia 32d3000 dark picture

I have the above TV which when first turned on has dark picture.
Only Colors visable are faint reds.
But if I press menu that is visable.
TV then comes on after about ten minutes.

I did read about bad tabs and flexing the screen might work. But didn't make any difference
So wondering if it could be anything else.

Try cleaning the Flat Ribbon cagles to the T-CON board. For extra measure I'd wet a
Q-Tip with WD-40 and moisten the fingerling tips of the cable then reseat them. Worked for me different TV similar symptom.

Done what ta said Andrew. And so far so good. Will c what it's like in morning after few hours unplugged.

Also have Sony Bravia with the tab problem. (46") I pulled the frame off and used the thick foam tape which solved my problem. My faulty tab was the top left side. I did have the problem reoccur but I don't think I used a thick enough piece. Mine only acts up when cold and goes back to normal when it warms up.
