    Lg50ln5400

Have this TV that does not have any picture but has great sound. Looked at many YouTube videos and finally opened up the TV. It has I believe, a main board, T-Con board and a power supply(which I believe to be also the LED driver as well as controlling the backlights EAX64905501) From what I have learned from the videos that I have viewed, it is the power supply. It has no back lights whatsoever but has real clear sound. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Probably has an open LED.
    Picture of the power supply.

If it does have an open led you'd need to have to decent experience of dismantling and assembling TVs to repair it as the whole panel will need to be removed.

LED part of the power supply? Backlight control also a part of power supply? If so I will just change out the power supply.

You'll need to check the voltage going to the back lights.

If you have sound but no backlight the chances are the LEDs are at fault and not the powersupply.

Leds are INSIDE the panel, beneath the lcd screen.

Do I access from the back since it is already open or do I have to go through the front by taking out the screen?

There is no access from the back, you must go through the front. The repair is not so easy - the manufacturer would write this set off instead of repairing it.

Is the LED driver inside with the backlights or is it a part of the Power Supply?

Have no idea as you didn't supply pictures.

If it's like most led tv's the led driver circuits are part of the power supply board from which some wires will disappear into the panel to drive the leds inside.

I have the same issue on a LG50LN5400, i disconnected the connector from the power supply pcb going to the LED strips and I still have no DC voltage at the connector on the power supply PCB. Should I replace the power supply pcb or could it still be an LED strip?
