Philips 32PFL5404 wont turn on -> status led blinks twice

    Dear all,
I'm trying to fix a Philips 32PFL5404 tv that wont turn on.
It only does a status led double blink each 3 seconds over and over.
I changed the psu which shoed obvious signs of overheating by a new one from the bay (model PLHL-T708A) but nothing changed at all.

I am willing to think the new psu is ok so the problem sould logically come from the ortherboard that handle graphics, inputs-outputs, etc...

Thanks by advance for your tips

Can we get the pictures of the whole backside of the TV so we can see all the boards and how they are connected together?

Thanks for the pictures, please add the closed up pictures of the power supply/inverter board combo, I need to see if there are any labels for the pin of those two white connectors (between the power supply board and the main board) on the power supply board so we can see what Voltages are missing.
BTW, please see if it has chassis number printed on the model number tag. The service manual I found does have have the same power supply as yoursand the numbers as printed on the barcode sticker on the power supply board.

On the labels are written expected voltages
should i masure them? with or without connecting ribbons?

thanks for the link, will try to make an account... failed last time.

With the connectors in place, take the readings when the TV is off and when the TV power switch is activated, please also make sure to put the pin's name next to the reading so I can easily see what Voltages are missing.
            For example:
            CN5:
            +12V: TV OFF = 0.0Vdc, TV ON = 12.00Vdc

              Dear all,
late reply caused by tons of work.

Since the tv doesnt actually have a switch it is pemantly in standby. I could measure voltages without the ac line connected but it doesn't make sense right?
              so TV "on"
              CN5:
              DIM 0.26Vdc

              CN4:
              3V3Stdby 3.24Vdc
              Standby 3.24Vdc
              +Vsnd 0.55Vdc

all other rails are <0.1v ( guess its noise/caibration issues)

TV OFF (standby) = TV is plugged in but power switch is not activated, so we need ALL the Voltage readings of ALL the pins, then you activate the power switch and then take the same readings again.
So from the way it looks right now, the main board is sending the PS-ON (Standby) signal (3.24VDC) but the power supply is not doing any thing, only the standby power supply is working.
BUT we need to verify if the PS-ON (STANDBY) Control Voltage is active LO or active HIGH, that is why I ask for the Voltage reading when TV is OFF and when TV is ON.

                  Dear budm

I measured voltage on the "off" i.e. standby mode and while holding on button wich yielded similar results. Actually the proble is the tv set won't turn ON and halts somewere in selftests, infinitly (hopefully not) stuck in standby
It is WEIRED that NC (not connected?) pins actually oscilate from -0.1 to 0.1Vdc while ground pins give a steady 0 so its not my DMM that acts weired so i imagine that it's some parasitic current

Here the readins I got (same while pressing on):

                  CN4
                  NC: 0.1Vdc -> -0.1Vdc
                  C201 GND SND: 0 Vdc
                  +Vsnd: 0.5 Vdc
                  +12V: 0Vdc
                  +12V: 0Vdc
                  +12V: 0Vdc
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  Standby: 3.24Vdc
                  3V3 Stdby

                  CN5
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  NC: 0.1Vdc -> -0.1Vdc
                  NC: 0.1Vdc -> -0.1Vdc
                  INVOK: 0.06Vdc
                  NC: 0Vdc
                  Boost: 0.03 Vdc
                  DIM: 0.26Vdc
                  OL_ON_OFF: 0.07Vdc
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  GND1: 0Vdc
                  +12V: 0Vdc

                    Service manuals:
                    http://elektrotanya.com/?q=showresul...at2=schematics
NEVER MIND, the manuals do not match your chassis.
Can you look at the model number sticker on the back of the TV to get the chassis number?
The link I give is for chassis TPM3.1E LA which is not what you have.
I still cannot fond the info of the model PLHL-T708A power supply/inverter board either.
OK, you provide the wrong part number of the board:

                            OK, no problem.
This is what I found, the STANDBY (PS-ON) is active LO (LO = ON) and right now he main board is not sending the signal to turn on (the Voltage is stuck HI, Standby: 3.24Vdc per your reading) the rest of the power supply.
So something on the main board or something is telling the main board not to send out the signals.

Ok so something really is preventing start...
Where should i start my investigations?what about this Led code? does it tells us something.
Something else : i must assume psu is ok since it was bought as new and working on the bay but it gave similar results than with the old "fried" one: makes me think something is wrong on another board, putatively the one That handles video, why not the ccfl tubes?
I had some results testing mosfets in the past since they are also prone to failure...

You need to trouble shoot the main board which is very complex.

Dell Latitude 7420 - Status LED blinks white once

                                        Hi Guys
I have a Dell Latitude 7420 here which doesn't want to boot.
If i plug in a charger, the status LED blinks white once only, nothing more, no amber blinks.
I'm trying to start it without battery as the old one inflated and had to come out.
I've tried all kinds of startmethod, holding D, holding CRTL+ESC, holding M+power, nothing works. I've even checked voltage/current consumption: charger changes to 20V and 0,07A but despite the one white blink, nothing else happens.
Does someone have an idea what i should look at / check?
                                        Thanks

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

                                        No sounds.

                                        Thanks in advance.

                                        To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...

Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

                                        If I remove the...
