This was a suggestion I got over here.
"Seems a lot of "Brand Name" products are dropping Streaming services, in favour for perhaps paid options or who knows.
All the more reason to own a Vanilla Android OTT box"
and
"And it's not just the YouTube app. I noticed a few other Viera Market Apps have been canned also. Mind you - I haven't really used it much since I got a Chromecast stick.
I'm hoping Panasonic will release a Netflix app onto the Viera Market."
From blessed panasonic
"Unfortunately the reason why YouTube will no longer work is because Google is terminating their support for API (Application Program Interface) v.2.0. As a consequence, after the announcement Panasonic engineers explored alternative ways to provide a YouTube service to affected models, however due to hardware limitations, an alternative s not feasible." -

Re: Youtube app not working on panasonic tv 55" gt30
This is another reason to avoid buying smart TVs as they go out of date so quickly. 2011 TV already doesn't work on some apps.
A chromecast or other smart TV stick is a better option as you can upgrade only that little stick when needed. Why upgrade the whole TV?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Yeah, it's a great device - I replaced an entire PC with it. The Pi2 is faster than my old Windows 7 PC running XBMC. Only disadvantage: no Netflix, but the Xbox fulfils that role. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Youtube app not working on panasonic tv 55" gt30
Youtube dropping like flies on MANY devices. My older toshiba regza was not a smart tv. So I figured (at the time 2011) I'd buy a top of the line sony blu ray player which would make my tv into a smart tv. Sony pulled the youtube plug on my player last month as well!!
Brutal!! We used it lots for youtube. Regardless of make or model. Youtube app just don't work on "not" so old devicesComment

by stecosHi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.
Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several... -

Working on an Apple iPad Pro 3rd Generation 12.9" that has a weird issue. When the display is NOT connected, the iPad will charge and power on normally. I know it's on because I can hear notification sounds and the charging notification sound.
If I connect a brand new display to the logic board, the iPad will not turn on at all. When I connect the iPad to an 18W wall charger and a USB-C ammeter, I can see that the iPad is attempting to charge, but constantly "resets" after just a moment or two.
For example, when I connect the iPad to... -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

by trepachkaThis iPad was working fine except the battery was not holding charge for more than 40 minutes. I replaced it with a new battery. I haven't glued the battery yet, just inserted it into the slot and held it with battery screw.
The iPad was powered on with the new battery and I am getting white screen with Apple logo for about 10 seconds, then the screen turns dark. It then cycles like this forever.
I know the battery is working because the iPad continues to boot loop without the charger until it depletes to 0% and the message displays I need to plug in the charger.
