    Samsung PS51e450 strange picture problem

    Hi Guys,

I got a problem with weird picture, tv just out of warranty. It looks like fuzzy snow and you can see previous static images from lets say tv menu when looking at whites area, it looks like it is keep holding in the background, but the main issue is that there are dots everywhere and image is distorted.

Now, I checked VS and VA on power supply and they are perfect 201 and 58, VScan on Y board is also perfect stable 180.
Any ideas what could be? Shall I replace y and x board now both ?

Is Ve OK? Can be problem with X- or Y-main initialisation ramps, have you got a scope?

Nope I don't. Do not know actually what value VE should be, where can I find this, no info on sticker...

Sorry I am a beginner in fixing plasma's, so thanks for your patience This VE is on YSUS board right?

Ve is used by X-main but may be generated by either board.
        Approx range 80-120V.

If not in range shall I just replace both boards? Would it be easiest way?

Then I guess you will have to try both boards.

                    by KYBOSH
                    Hello all

I pick this up free as a repair project for the holidays.
The original symptom was power cycling after 3-4 seconds with a single red light flash.

To remedy this I went through and unplugged each component 1x1 and discovered that when the FFC cables were disconnected the backlights stayed on and the TV did not reboot.

I tried remove one or the other to see which side of the display was causing the issue (expecting to see half a picture to show) but didn't see anything. But the boot loop only appears when the top FFC cable (right side...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                    Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
