Hi all, I've been given this TV today and was told the capacitors need replacing but on further inspection found them to be OK I took the power board out to find on the other side something the just doesn't look right I will post a PIC shortly I will just explain what the power problem is. When TV is plugged in the red standby light comes on as normal when I try to turn on the TV via remote or TV itself the red standby light turns green for about 15-20 seconds I hear clicking in the back of the TV I believe to be normal but then the red standby light comes back on more clicking light green then back to red and so on. There is no light or flicker of the screen I also have no sound. Hope all that makes sense and someone can help it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: toshiba 32av555d wont turn on
It just says 'invalid link contact administrator' for me.
But I'm on my phone so maybe that's the reason.
If you're suspecting bad solder -
You could google 'dry solder joint' and look at the images.
Anything that looks similar give it a reflow.
Remember also that capacitors don't have to be raised to be faulty.
Capacitors can sometimes be kicked back to life once they are hot, try using a hairdryer and heat up the caps and see if it starts up.Comment

Re: toshiba 32av555d wont turn on
Can't seem to find anything like it on google and heating caps didn't work. On the back of the power board there is 5 lines of solder but seem to break up to show a copper colour but also looks like its been scratched off I'm unsure as to re-flow these in case they are meant to be this way I don't want to cause more damage the lady I got the TV from said she had it from new and it just turned off one day and wouldn't come back onComment

Re: toshiba 32av555d wont turn on
The power supply doesn't have an inverter built into it, so I'm guessing there must be an inverter board under the mainboard.
Really without a digital meter it's going to be hard to workout what's wrong with the TV.
In the mean time, if you can unplug the inverter from the power supply. And see if the TV now powers on. If it does then you might have a problem with the backlight system.Comment

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r... - Loading...
