Samsung LN46C540F2FXZC Main Board Swap?

Hi,

Is it possibile to swap a main board from a 40" LN40C540F2FXZC TV into my 46 " LN46C540F2FXZC?

Main Board problem was identified as follows:
The power led blinks six times when I try to turn the TV on. I disconnected the main board to power supply cable and the backlight goes on. As per this thread, it would indicate that the main board is defective.

Since this was a model exclusive to Costco and Walmart Canada, I'm having trouble finding parts for it. I've made a special request to Samsung Parts Canada, but judging by the other main boards on their site it will be very expensive. p/n BN96-16374A (Other boards are going for $228 CAD).

There's an ebay listing for a main board for the same model, but 40" size: Model Code LN40C540F2FXZC. 40" Main board part no. BN96-14950A, for $70 CAD.

At $228 +shipping +tax (~$273 CAD) I'm not sure it's worth it. $70 all in is worth it, but only if there's a good chance it will work.

I've attached photos of the Model Labels and their respective main boards for comparison.

Thanks, but Shop Jimmy was one of the first places I tried.

Nothing comes up with my board or for my TV model 46" TV: LN46C540F2FXZC

Since my board does not exist on their website there is no way for me to cross- reference to see if the 40" board is compatible.

Most likely not as the firmware is made to drive a 40" not a 46"

Possibly be able to swap firmware out mindya.

Someone who has dealt with doing this should pop on and advise further

Cheapest shipping option adds $41.

Trying to return the old board for the Core Deposit credit would not be worth it due to shipping & brokerage.

So, with exchange rate, the cost of a new board is $298 CAD + duty & taxes.
