Samsung LA32R81BD over saturation of white

I picked this one of the curb thinking it would be an easy fix. No such luck at the moment and as my days off have disappeared I thought I'd post here for suggestions on what to try next time I retreat to the shed.

It is powering on fine and the SMPS BN4400155A appears to be working fine.

It manages to power up tune in and do everyting else just fine it just looks like some one cranked the back light up to eleven. That said there is slight discoloration across the panel

but mostly just over dosing on the back light.

Can anyone suggest a route to take here?

Another one of those bad Gamma Voltage reference IC problem.
Take good pictures of the T-CON board so we can see what the Gamma IC is.

You need to replace AS15-G chip on this T-Con board. It should solve the problem. i have fixed loads of those.
