    LG 50PJ350 Y sustain Board HELP!!

    I found this LG T.V on the side of the road with a free sign and could not help myself, the back was already off and most boards looked great but then I got to the Y sustain board and there was a couple CAPS ripped off and need help to find out what V and UF sizes were they?

          what's the chances of someone else missing the same caps asking the same question in BADCAPS, slim, very slim, or incredibly have?

          A search using the part number of the PCB yielded this.

              better check for shorted buffer boards before install,and bad ZSUS. search the model and you should find a post with the service manual which is not too bad for a lot of checks that can be done.

                  I have one of these that blew out the Y sustain board twice. Can someone please tell me where to measure on the buffer/driver boards to tell if they're shorted? Thanks

                      I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                      Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                      I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                      The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                      With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      LG 50PJ350 plasma blowing Y-Sustain board

                      Hi, I was wondering if there's anyone here with experience on the LG50PJ350 plasma or similar models? When it came in, it had 7 shorted mosfet outputs on the Y-sustain board, Q02, 04,11, 22, 24, 26, and 28 were all dead shorted. I replaced them with the exact same type, checked their surrounding area for other open and shorted components and didn't see any further problems. But as soon as I hit the power button on the remote, I had a loud Pop! and Q22, 24, 26, and 28 are shorted out again. The other 3 seem to have survived. Someone on another forum had suggested the possibility of a shorted panel....

                      Hi There,

                      This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

                      After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

                      Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

                      Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
