    Sharp LC-60LE820 LED Strip Repair

The TV does not come on. I bought a new Power supply but it still does not have a backlight and shuts down. I could not get a resistance reading on the wires to the backlight LEDs. I assume it open or to high a reistance for my meter Fluke 87 Ver3.
I have tried to repair LED strips in the past with no luck. The LEDs are generally secured with some type of Heatsink glue that hardens and usually damages the strip when attempting to remove them.
What is the best way to remove them?
What Heatsink glue or epoxy should be used?
Does anyone know what the correct or substitute part should be used?
    Thanks

When testing the LED strips--you'll get no reading using a meter if measured across the whole string.
You can check each individual LED to find/see if they are faulty generally with a meter.

LED's are not available separately, best you can do is use summit like the 1-2W LED's available on fleagay, in an appropriate package size...

Cant even get whole strips either, they are just Not available.

As to removal--depends on what type LED it is. Those under lenses are basically the LED chips themselves coated with the downconverter phosphor. Best bet scrape 'em off after breaking the lens bonding points!
