    LG 42LH40 - No Power

I have an LG 42LH40 that no longer powers on, owner reported a loud pop and it shut down. I believe the schottky diode blew out on it but I'm new at TV repair and I'm curious that if I replace the component will that fix the TV or is there a good possibility of another component being the cause for the diode to fail. Below is a picture of the diode, still on board. All the caps look good, however their is a ceramic disc cap by the fuse, it has a plastic coating on it that is all sticky so I'm thinking of removing to test the cap, not that it's goo that leaked from the cap.

Also, I've never replaced a diode before, it looks like there is thermal paste behind the other two next to it and just a grey mat behind the one that failed. Should I reuse the mat or use some Arctic 5 thermal paste behind the new diode?

Any input would be wonderful, thank you.

If it helps any, the fuse by the power input is also popped.
