    Samsung UE-46D6207 - Horizontal lines

    Hello!

My Samsung UE-46D6207 has faint horizontal lines going from left to right as seen in these pictures. Also a white line on the bottom part of the screen:

The lines are stable, they are not moving or static. Knocking circuit boards, applying pressure etc. doesn't make a difference...

What do you think, is this a broken T-CON or is the lcd panel going bad?

I'm afraid that does look like the LCD panel has failed, sorry.

      Hi!

I'm not saying you are wrong, but can you clear me what makes you think it's the panel instead of tcon? Do a failing tcon make static - not stable - lines and interference?

Too bad, tcon would have been a simple repair

T-con can't cause "regional" defects as it generates data for whole panel. If, for example part of RAM was bad on T-con, you would get corrupted pattern running across display, but asyour pattern is uniform and in one area, the panel is the cause.

For panel fault, I'm specifically referring to the single/few pixel wide line running across the bottom of the display.
