LG 47LE5300 Turns on but no picture, no sound

    Hi,
My LG 47LE5300 Turns on but no picture, no sound.
I am looking for PSU (YP47LPBD) schematic diagram as I think high voltage Mosfets are not working.
They are ice cold which tells me they are not working. Maybe the problem is the High-voltage resonant controller is not functioning.
    Thanks in advance

We need to see pics. You need to invest into a DMM and measure some voltages. BTW, I'd leave my fingers off the primary side (to measure temperature) as that could end up deadly.

That heatsink is for the LED backlights and other power supplies is not going to do anything until you find out if the standby power supply is working not, if the PFC Voltage booster is working or not, etc. Do you have PS-ON, BL-ON, etc?
So show us the pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see what we are dealing with.
What DCV do you get at the black connector on the power supply board that goes back to the main board, there are labels for each one of the pin of that connector.
List the pin number with the name of the pin with the DCV readings when TV is plugged in but power switch is not activated, then with the power switch is activated.

        Thanks a lot for reply.
Here are the pictures of TV and black connector pin voltages.

When you say: "PS-ON, BL-ON" what does it mean?
        PS-ON=Power Supply On?
        BL-ON=?

PS-ON = Power supply on, it is the command signal from the main board to turn on the rest of the power supply.
BL-ON (or Inverter ON) = Backlights ON for turning on the backlights circuits, the command signal is also from the main board.
You should read my BASIC LCD TV troubleshooting guide, your TV uses LEDs in stead of CCFL.

Re: LG 47LE5300 Turns on but no picture, no sound

            I checked the voltages.
The only voltage that I have is 3.3 V Standby. I do not have other voltages like 12 and 20 VDC.
Seems no command is coming from processor to start the system.
            Any suggestions?

                  Looks like bad BGA symptoms.

I would say the mainboard is shot. Wait for others opinions too

                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                      - it keeps rebooting
                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

                      by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                      by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                      Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...

                      by kca
                      Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

                      No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...
