    Sanyo DP42840-01 Dead No Standby

I can't figure out what's wrong with this board. There is no 5VSTBY. I have 170VDC on the main caps. No VCC to IC601. Replaced IC601 and IC602, still dead. Checked all the resistors and diodes in the area that I can find. Any help?

This one opto D607 that is reversed, is part of a AC DETECT circuit?

So you got no 5v on that ribbon connector on the bottom right? Can we have a pic of that (pinouts)?

          Here you go

I also found this older thread. But again, no VCC on pin 5 of IC601.

              Check R606,623,624,625 for proper resistance.

Re: Sanyo DP42840-01 Dead No Standby

                R606 reads about 1.4 ohms
R623,624,625 each read about 540k ohms

The 170V is getting to pin 1 of T601. But no VCC. Should I have voltage on the FB pin?

What Voltage do you have on pin 2 (Brown out protection)?
Notes: Negative leg of the main filter cap is the GND for your meter.
                  Also check those 1M resistors R607, 608, 609.
The startup Voltage on VCC (pin 5) is 15.3V but it will not startup if the Brown out is detected.

The voltage is 6.3V on the BR pin.

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                      by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Greetings to all, a while ago my TV was dead, it didn't turn on and the standby light was off, the next day it is working. But these days it no longer wants to turn on, I did some troubleshooting, I disconnected the main board, I checked the voltage on the backlight and there is 400 DC, when I connect it again the main board the voltage drops, in all that troubleshooting, miraculously the standby light comes on and the TV works. After an hour I check and test, I turn on the TV, the Stanby light flashes 3 times and it...

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                      by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                      LG C1 65'' dead standby
                      by jacobtc
I've owned this C1 from new since late 2021, and it has now suddenly started with the following symptom:
If power has been connected for a while, the red standby lamp turns off, and the tv wont turn on (no reaction from remote or button on tv).
If power has been disconnected for 5 minutes, the tv turns on fine, until turned off and left for a couple minutes, as the standby light will then turn off again.

I've seached and found that this is most likely a failing PSU, and I've seen repair services on eBay fixing these symptoms, so I am hoping that someone here has fixed...
