Hi,

sorry if mentioned before. I stumbled in an old 27" tv, model LCD27S10, MB Vestel, maker Gorenje, with inverter Darfon V070 4H.V708.001/05 going down after some seconds. Checked CCFL, nothing dramatic, they lit more or less the same. The voltage on OZ960 pin 2 (OVL)jumped to high before invertershut off, so I put 100K resistance between pin 2 and ground, now voltage is 2,10V, tv is working flawlessly.

Hi there,
this is my first post so bear with me

my device is no longer in warranty. I am comfortable with doing minimal operations on the device. it has no data I formatted it thinking it's a software bug at first, but no it's something else.

What I tried: running it with disabled dGPU, running it with an external screen, resetting everything, using Linux on it instead of windows, reinstalling BIOS, using a different SSD, running it without internet, keeping it plugged to a wall, using a desktop cooler on the CPU, praying to god, contacting the CEO'S office...

LG 86UK6570PUB 3 Red Blinks

Hey Everyone, I have an LG 86UK6570PUB that wont turn on. Power light blinks 3 times. Tested voltage from power supply to main board and it is sending the correct voltage. When testing LEDs I have 1st strip at 210v 20mA, 2nd strip goes from 208v 20mA to 214 40mA. I'm assuming the LED strips is the issue. Anyone seen this before or can point me to something else to check?

Asus G512 no power (BQ24780S problems)

Good day folks. It's been a while since I repaired a laptop, so here's a challenge: a friend of mine asked me to take a look at an Asus G512LI killed by the liquid metal that got smeared all over the board when someone tried to clean it (I'm not blaming it on him - could have been someone before him). I was able to clean it enough to get it going on my own, without any help and thought I was all done, but then I ended up breaking it again

See, the battery wasn't charging and the laptop wouldn't start on battery either. If you were to start it on AC and THEN unplug the charger,...

Hi all,

hope life is treating you well.

I have a question, as I am genuinely puzzled.

There is this old Tektronix 2215 scope which has been laying around for some time, that I knew had some issue, but couldn't remember what...
Anyways, last night, I thought I'd give it a look, as space is needed, so put it on the bench and plugged it in.
The CRT had a terrible trace which only filled half the screen and didn't seem to respond much to any of the controls, so I decided to give it 15 minutes to warm up whilst I cleared up the bench...
