Re: Panasonic Plasma TX-P50XT50B strange horizontal two lines

Yes you right , A board was swapped.

One question I have on my mind.

Could I cause this , by any of this action , swapping A board or disconnecting ribbons from SN board ??

doubt it. what's vsus set to in that service menu, high or low? can't say I've ever come across burn in panasonic panel before.

It was low I just set to high because on low I could see image retention from service menu already !! On high I cant see it

guess try it on high, I know it's spoken that they have an algorithm that compensates on the A board for the panel aging so i don't know if that would be an issue since it's come from another TV. Still would be interesting to know the hrs stored on the a board.

            2. Press [OK] button to go to TEST stage.
White pattern without On-Screen Display will be displayed during TEST and CONF stage. Press [5] button to display the
            On-Screen Display.
            3. Press [VOL (-)] button to set to LOW.
            4. In LOW setting
            a. If no several dead pixel is visible remarkably in white pattern, press [3] button to go to CONF stage.
            b. If the several dead pixels are visible remarkably in white pattern, Set to HIGH by press [VOL (+)] button. Press [3] button
to go to CONF stage if the symptom is improved.
            5. Press [OK] button in CONF stage to store LOW or HIGH.

            Notes:
Do not overwrite because data is written in Peaks-EEPROM after executing adjustment of V-SUS Voltage.

Unfortunately TV is assembled so I can't check voltage.

Procedure for checking running time , doesn't work on this TV

Re: Panasonic Plasma TX-P50XT50B strange horizontal two lines

Hm, interesting that increasing Vsus hides the fault. I had a Samsung PS51D450 which had a grey-ish mark on the screen on full white. Turning Vsus up about 5V cleared this. Must be trying to save every watt, at the expense of performance...

I think that's just the test pattern mode.

Tom66 horizontal thick line are still there.

When vsus was set to low I could see IR coming from service menu (white colours of letters) after changing to high , these letters are gone

no, without the exact manual. everything i've read it's mute but maybe it's different on this one or this region. usually just hold mute for more than 3 secs and it populates,

Too much letter box viewing and not enough IR prevention measure taken, that screen burn in will be perminate.

I have a 2012 Samsung plasma with this exact issue i have had it for 8 months and have tried to use Full screen IR tools on and off and the letter box burn in still shows up.

its very miniscule and really only shows on white images but doesn't bother me one bit. I hung it up in the room and haven't thought twice about it since.
