Panel faults won't cause shorted IGBTs... buffer ICs -maybe- but not IGBTs...
For future ref, a 150W light-bulb in series with Vsus on these will often stop IGBTs popping badly - set will work with a distorted picture in this configuration.

Righto, The Buffer IC's have no shorts so its puzzling :S It worked for around 5 seconds then it went as the panel tried to prime I think.

Oh well I will replace what has shorted and add a light bulb to the series to see how it goes

I had this fault, panel primed, then shut off 6 blinks

Although mine did not pop anything - bulb did glow dimly... but set quickly shut down

I am guessing where I had an OPEN ER circuit (causing SOS6 from low MID voltage) you had SHORTED ER circuit, causing high load on Vsus IGBTs (in this case the bulb helps a lot)
