Could be blown that would cause screen glow with no picture (can also be bad panel if shorted and blew Va fuse)

ok well i have a replacement screen so ill try and swop all the parts over to see what i get ill post the results later

We've seen a few Sammy plasmas on here with that fuse blown, replacing usually fixes issue. if you change panel try changing control board with it (as the control board has ageing data to compensate panel drive over time.)

changed the fuse still the same and no voltage reading from the fuse

What do you have on each end of the fuse, volts wise, red probe on one end, black on the chassis, TV powered up.

just changed the panel over quickly exactly the same fuse on replacement screen buffer is 63 volts both ends

im putting the old screen back in im thinking i measured the original fuse wrong i was testing both ends not using red probe on one end, black on the chassis

yes 63 volts both ends but still no picture just a glowing screen

checked the control board fuse both ends im getting 5.23 volts

Ok, put a wire jumper across pins 3 and 4 of CN2023, disconnect the LVDS cable and power the TV up. Does it show test patterns?

That is odd. I am beginning to suspect bad control board or possibly panel. Can you swap the control board?

i dont have a control board spare just typical i have a xsus,panel but sold the rest but dont forget i swopped the parts into the other panel today and it was exactly the same

Just typical sourced a tcon roughly 40 to 60 quid so maybe I'll sell the parts and thats now a C and Q version of panels to my collection

Hello, I am terribly sorry for hijacking this thread, but as I was looking for my problem I found this that I think is somehow related to my problem. Is it possible for someone to help me in this thread?
I have the same TV but it has no picture at all. Sound is ok and I am changing the channels and hear at the TV. Voltages were ok except Vs. So I tried disconnecting Y-main from PSU to see if the PSU will give the Vs voltage (I thought maybe I had a faulty y-main and for protection the PSU wouldn't start the Vs). No luck with this, so I removed the PSU and forced it to turn on. Also I forced the Vs voltage (I read it at this forum but from another topic I can't find now) by putting a 500Ohm resistor between two pins on the PSU (I can't remember which of them because there has been many days since then and don't have the PSU available now). The Vs started normally so the PSU was fully working by forcing it.
My conclusion was that maybe the t-con board is dead because it is the only board I see the PSU is connected to get the command to start the Vs voltage.

So shall I try it? Or am I wrong and should try something else?

But I have to tell you that after all of the above I think I did something stupid that may caused more problems to the TV. I forced the Vs voltage to start with the PSU connected on the TV with all the boards on it. The good thing was that all the voltages were fine, even at the Y-main and Y-buffer, but if the PSU wasn't starting for protection I may broke down something else.
