Hi, I have a PDP-5020FD which works intermittently.
Sometimes it starts up and works fine and if I turn it off and back on, it will go to 8 blue blinks and will keep doing the 8 blue blinks and won't go on. However before it goes to 8 blue blinks mode, I can see a very dim light on the whole screen, like a TV without the back light and then it will shut itself off and will go to 8 blue blink mode.
I saw in one of the post that the regulator ic IC7951 could have been gone but in my TV its fine and that's fine the TV works sometimes! The voltage at pin 4 is 1.79V.
