    it needs BL_ON signal, on the connector between the power supply and the inverter board there should be three pins labeled as A, B, and C. I do not remember which one is BL_ON and which one is dimming control.
    It may be easier to locate the BL_ON pin on the inverter board, it should be >2.5VDC for backlights on.
    What is the P/N of U44?
    So right now after the cap is replaced you still do not have PS_ON?

      A=.125
      B=.030
      C=no pin

      U44 part no. k021 G9117
      That's right after replacing the cap still no ps_on.

        OK, you do not have BL_ON or dimming signal either, the U44 will not have any voltage until the main power supply is turned on by the main board.
        At this point you will need new main board.

              It depends on if the power supply board has build-in pull up resistors for the PS_ON and the BL_ON or not, most of the newer SAMSUNG and SONY have pull-up resistors now for easier diagnostic.

                    You should record all the Voltage reading on the power supply board, main board when TV is off and when TV is on so you will know what they should be.

                      Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                      by Tynan Dill
                      I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                      Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                      I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                      The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                      With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

                      Hi everyone,

                      I was trying to repair this Vizio 32 inch and have isolated it to the EEPROM. The symptoms are it does not respond to the power button and so no backlights or any indication that the button was even pressed. Applying freeze spray to the EEPROM while the set is unplugged, and then plugging it in and all is well.

                      Now I know I can buy pre-programmed EEPROMS for $15.00 or so, but I wanted to do this myself. So, the original EEPROM is Winbond 25Q64FSIG. I ordered this but received a 25Q64JSIG, which has slightly different timing characteristics. Well, being hopeful...

                      I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

                      Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

                      DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V

                      Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

                      The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

                      I can't find any schematics...
