Toshiba 32BV702b FW issues

I recently got hold of a Toshiba 32BV702B from a friend who was going to throw this one away. I took it off him to use as a spare PC monitor.

Foolishly I updated the FW via USB and now I'm afraid the TV has issues...

The TV powers on as normal but the screen is very grainy/dark, I cannot make out any text in the back ground.
The touch panel registers button presses but no longer switches channel/volume etc.

(I can take & upload a pic if needed)

I've downloaded the FW for this model from Toshiba (v6.8c) and installed via the normal FW update procedure. I can see the FW HAS updated as the menu has now changed (can only just make it out)

What can I do to restore the firmware? From what I understand the mainboard is a Vestel 17MB62 with Toshiba branding. I also understand the mboot.bin file is the same in all the 17MB62 FWs, only the MB62_EN.bin is different.

I've tried 4 different FW so far (including the one from Toshiba) but all seem to have the same effect - TV starts but picture is very dark/pixelated.

Can anyone help me, or would anyone have any FW I can try to restore this TV?

Just to update on the situation, I tried a few FW files found from various sources. Here's what I've found...

26843382_MB62_OEMOEM_V047g_SVN_57926.ENVIR_GEN.xlsx.zip - TV starts but has blank screen, no response
26933388_MB62_OEMOEM_V0.6.6h_SVN_62420_ENVIR_GEN.xlsx_20121015.zip - Same again TV starts but no picture
vestel_17mb62_6750407_flash.rar - TV starts and displays a pixely/dark picture
vestel_17mb62_6873643_flash.rar - Same again, pixely/dark picture
vestel_17mb62_26744623_flash.rar - Starts but no picture
Toshiba FW for this LCD (v6.8c.exe) - Only seems to update the menu look on the 2 firmwares that actually display a picture.

I compared the mboot.bin from all the archives and its exactly the same. Would it just be a case of finding a matching FW combination for this LCD?

I also tried an MB61 flash but it isn't recognised (mainboard is obviously MB62)

Could anyone help? I have SPI & NAND flashers at the ready!

Here is what I'm faced with so far. I've tried numerous FW, including the official one from the Toshiba site.



The LCD was 100% working before this, feel like kicking myself right now

Just rechecked the sticker on the mainboard and here it is:
