There's some guys who have done more and posted on other similar models. Some have managed to replace/repair the SMD LEDs, for mine no good, unique and they have them standingon there edge, 2 -3 yr old TV down the tube.

You will not be able to test this power supply without a load on the led drivers as it will just shut down without one. However going on collective history it's more likely you have an open led in one of your backlight strings and that's a dealbreaker for the psu as it sees no load at that point.

If you had a known GOOD psu you could rule out one or the other definitively but I'd say your leaning heavily towards a panel breakdown.

How many strips are in here and how did you check them without breaking the screen?

I broke it down to test them. If you put a meter in diode mode across each led it should light if good.

I sealed the tv back up for now. Thanks guys for all the help. I do not have a good supply for this model unfortunately. To be continued. .....lol

I no longer have the set but I DO have a strip with some good leds on it. I can rip some off and toss them in an envelope if you'd like to try replacing a few individually.

Generic thermal glue.

To answer your earlier question there are two strips in the set - one down each side. I think I posted a pic in my thread referenced here earlier.

I'm getting confused, selldoor popped a link to see if that was what i was referring to about mine, yours i would expect to be the same as mmartell, then you came back and said , it says unavailable anyone got a local link, ( assumption , you're talking about the farnell product)then Tom found newark .

Anyway, I was just worried things are mixed up and hate to see you order a 100 or so potentially incorrect LEDs.

I did not enjoy taking the panel apart to get to mine and we broke them on reassembly but I'm sure mmartell since he's spent a lot of time on your model will

My leds are not the same as those in the link. But I had the D6000 and he has the D6050 so we won't know until he breaks it down.
