    Samsung ps42b430 Plasma

    Hi.
Can anyone offer any advice on fixing this TV. I've attached images of all boards and the display fault.
Had a very similar fault with a LCD which was a faulty T-con but I understand the plasma does not work the same way.
My knowledge is limited and really which board is likely to be faulty is all the info I need as board repair other than cap is a bit above my ability.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Been told likely to be Y-SUS as it looks like bad adjustment on Y-SUS. Have tried the adjustment but no difference. Is this likely ?

You could start by checking panel voltages - Vs/Va/Vscan/Ve etc.
If you have a scope you can verify Y-main waveform.

        Hi.
Only manage to look at this today.
Don't have a Scope. All Voltages check good.
Noticed today that the screen is holding the Picture from two weeks ago when I last looked at this. Like Screen burn but it was only on that screen for less than 10 minutes. Does this have any significance ?

Does your Y-main board have Yrr and Yfr adjustments?

The 2 adjustors are marked as VR-VSC AND VR-FR.
Adjusting these makes no significant difference. Had a similar issue with a 50" Samsung previously which I sorted by adjusting.

It is most likely a bad Y-main, X-main is a possibility.
An oscilloscope would confirm for sure.

Could not get a Y-main anywhere but manged to pick up an X-main cheap so decided to give it a try. Problem sorted.
tom66 thank you very much for your help.

Interesting - wonder if it had a Ve fault...
