LG 60UH605V no picture no sound no backlights

    psu : EAX66923301 (V1.3)
    main : EAX66882503 (V1.0)
    tcon : 6870C-0628A (V0.2)
    panel : LC600EGE

    2016 model

TV red standby light comes on when plugged in, press remote on button or tv power on button and standby light flashes 3 times, exactly the same with tcon disconnected from main or either left or right panel ribbon cables disconnected.
There are no diagnostic leds on psu or main that I can see.
No faint or dim picture visible, no backlights, no sound.

psu stby voltages (with main connected or disconnected) are
    ms 0v
    gnd 0v
    13.2v 8v bouncing
    13.2v 8v bouncing
    gnd 0v
    pwr-on 0v

    p-dim1 1.88v
    gnd 0v
    13.2v 8v bouncing
    13.2v 8v bouncing
    13.2v 8v bouncing
    p-dim2 1.88v

    psu on voltages are
    ms 0v
    gnd 0v
    13.2v 13.1v
    13.2v 13.1v
    gnd 0v
    pwr-on 3.38v

    p-dim1 0.27v
    gnd 0v
    13.2v 13.1v
    13.2v 13.1v
    13.2v 13.1v
    p-dim2 0.27v

both led output circuits show 190v stby
both led output circuits show 320v on

tcon fuse has 13v on both sides.

Led tester shows 179v powering both led strips which are strips of 66leds.

Is this looking more like a panel issue? or are there other checks before condemning.

So looking like its more likely the psu or main, what I have noticed is that the spdif out (optic) port does not light up and usually on main boards they light up with a red led, there seems to be power at the usb port as it powers a hdmi streaming stick.
So from this I would suspect the main board to be most likely at fault but not knowing what voltages should be on the psu, other than the obvious 13.2v, like the ms pin, what is the ms pin as it reads 0v in stby or when switched on.

To replace the psu or main would be too expensive to chance as both are equally highly priced for an old model tv.

So, it would seem I'm missing the MS pin 2.1v signal from the Main board. All other pin voltages seem ok.

Found an LG main and power board from a different tv in my spares shed which has the same pinouts on the psu to main.
So I can get the backlights on at least with the spare main board so looks like psu and backlights ok but as it has a different tcon (doesnt actually have a tcon, connects directly to panel) I cant test the screen so looks like I need to get a replacement main and hope the screen is ok. Had a look at the main and cant find anything obvious other than the main soc chip has very hard thermal paste so my guess is its cooked, if its not then quite sure the issue is firmware so either way beyond repair I guess.

So having sourced a main bd, well actually its from a 60UH625V-ZA.BEKWLJP, but says compatible with 60UH605V-ZC.BEKWLJP, dont suppose anyones able to confirm this is correct?

TV now powering on however picture has the odd few horizontal blacks lines, some go then come back, others just permanently stay and also screen shadowing - almost certainly looks like a panel issue or could it be the main needs settings changed to be a 60UH605V so it has correct configuration for the tcon/panel.

Any advice on testing to determine if it is a panel issue? Inspected top and underside of panel tabs and no obvious signs of burnt/shorted panel or tab ribbons.

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.

Samsung UN70TU6980FXZA no sound no picture but does have backlights
                by stinger
When I turn tv on, the backlights come on but there is no sound or picture. I have read that these tv's have problems with the panels going bad but the "no sound" has me questioning if the main board is bad. Is there a way to troubleshoot the main board to determine if that is the problem?

                Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
                by Christos Tsiligiannis
                Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
