UMC 39/63G wont power on keep restarting

Hi im new here

I need bit help to sort out whats wrong with my tv

I got cheap tv that stop working 12 months old.

All it does is keeps restarting on then instantly off.

I checked power supply voltages fine matches prints on board 12v 5v 24v all fine.

But tv wont turns on once back light kicks in its get instant cutoff and trys to turn again and it doease it constantly.

Capacotors fine removed all checked all fine

Can it be eeprom?

Eeprom i gues is Windbound 25Q31FV

i have a 32 UMC version and my problem is the same as yours waiting for a eeprom to arrive to see if it fixes this problem,also all my voltages are ok as well

Possibly fractured solder at the power input jack. (if an LED-lit LCD)

Reflow the power input jack and try again.....

Changed the eeprom tv all working again

Try Ohm Supplies you need to make sure main board and LCD panel numbers match the replacement EEPROM Flocko

Changed the eeprom tv all working again

if youre having problems with UMC 39/63g-gb-3b-ftcu-uk, this may help there are 2 files one is for if you tv has (PVR) I.E record tv..... and the other is no/without (PVR) no record
i found these through another site, i think the reason a few tvs got bricked as the poster on topic states copy both files to a usb drive which may have been the problem here http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...ml#post6543417

Hello guys, i need the files for usb if someone has it .. i have a tv that does the same and i can't find the files anywhere on the web.. can someone help me ?

I did it but it seems that they are saying the tv need a physical repair.. and it's not true.. i know that i can fix it with an usb and files for update

Can you read the EEPROM and copy it to a new EEPROM. There are some very cheap read/writers out there on the market eg CH341. It can sometimes cure the problem if the TV's EEPROM is starting to fail.

Here you go Vince messaged me the dropbox isnt not mine but here they are
NOTE: 1 is for if the tv has a PVR function and the other is not, also please make sure the correct model numbers before you proceed thanks
