I have a DP52449 with what looks like the same problem. Gamma voltages were OK, a new T-Con made no difference. I figured something with the LCD screen was shot and parted it out.

Thanks very much Tom. Can you tell me what those voltages should be on good board? I'm thinking they should be going from high to low in even segments or something like that. Is that right? Hard to guess without service info.--Sam

the *basic* rule of thumb is a slow increase or decrease in one direction only, and a range from about 0V to about 15V.

Thanks-i thought it was something like that. Where would i order ic. I think i will try to replace. I have nothing to lose except cost of part. I have hot air heat gun so maybe now is time to try it.

Making a final closure on this thread to say thanks for the help. I did attempt to take off IC on panel and just about did it except one little trace. So i ordered panel on e-bay rather than scrap tv. I installed and it worked perfect. Thanks again you called it right.--SAM

I'm curious about this process of reading the Gama voltages. I have a similar set (Sanyo DP42849) that uses a 55.42T06-C03 T-Con. The VG testpoints are not listed 1 - 22, but only about a third of them are listed. VG1, 2, 4, 10, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, & VG22 are shown. Along with VGHC, VGL, & VGMA_REF. What's the process here? Anybody know?

I've swapped out the T-Con, with no change. The ribbon cables look clean and undamaged. Cleaned connectors w/ DeoxIT D5. I'm coming up short here.

Well, there is not much choice left, try the new AS15 chip then.What DCV do get on these TPs:
VG1, 2, 4, 10, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, & VG22 ? may be we can see the pattern.
