samsung LE46A558P3F weird image quality and vertical lines.

hi, i have this tv that show exactly same problem as this one on that video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW3x6eGT_Yo

and also menu popup start to flicker, plus one side get almost all white.

and like this dude problem too like tv get white on some corner and so on.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41381

board is the usual and well popular: BN41-00974B

is that problem as-15f related , or are the ribbon cable that connect t-con to tv?

on that youtube video, someone talk about y axis driver problem... , but as i have no experience with tv, dunno what to do except change as15f

The problem shown is for a plasma display, so it would be rare for your LCD to show these symptoms, are you sure?
Or is it more like THIS:

Sounds like a panel tab bond failure, non repairable and will only get worse... very common on Samsung sets unfortunately.

looking better, tv seems to start just fine and after 10 seconds , color and quality get worse.

ill make a video later with an hdmi source.

here is the video, hope that it's not the lcd but some electronic fail.

Unfortunately looks like a defective LCD panel to me...

Re: samsung LE46A558P3F weird image quality and vertical lines.

up the lcd, there is a screw, if i touch it i make lcd turn brighter or sometimes that problem get less worst.

edit: i did soem other test. that crew is just the bright control so nor problem with that. but i tried disconnect 1 by one t-con cable to lcd and still the same, then on the t-con if i put a finger on one chip thermal pad, i can hear a heavy noise that ir produce. so can it be a bad t-con or that king of problem just lies to a bad lcd panel ?

dunno if i got some problem with batteries, but when tv goes almost all white, it become also unresponsive to remote control pushing.

can i try this to check better?

update: today ive disassembled lcd and even if i touch lcd ribbon cable, nothing happen, so as tom66 said i suppose it's lcd 100% as also t-con make some noise and if i disconnect ribbon from t-con to lcd that noise disappear

im going to sell all parts for spare.
is t-con ok or it can get damage too because dunno if selling it is ok or not..

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
                        by polaro
                        Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                        Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

LCD SAMSUNG LE40A656A1CXXE - Vertical Lines on Half of The Screen?
                        by ItalianSat
                        Hello Everybody,

I have a 40 inch LCD SAMSUNG LE40A656A1CXXE. Its problem is that there are Vertical Lines on Right Half of The Screen.

Interestingly enough, when I move my mouse (in the case if connected to a PC) or when I am watching the TV, lines also move. At first appearance, I had thought that the problem might arose from loose vertical ribbons (COF), but when I opened up the TV for further investigations, I realized that the problem cannot be solved by touching them.

Moreover, I detached the T-CON board for a new round of investigation. I personally...

Samsung Plasma TV with vertical lines (model PN50B430P2D)
                        by afex
This is my 2nd broken TV I'm trying to fix and haven't been able to figure out... currently going without any working TVs so am hoping to be able to fix one..

This Samsung PN50B430P2D Plasma has this big block of vertical lines which will fade in shortly after turning the TV on. The lines will sometimes flicker a bit or fade in/out and sometimes it just stays present. The length of time it takes them to appear varies, sometimes its a few minutes and other times it appears immediately after powering on.

I have attached an image of the TV with these bars displaying....
